Pink vaulted room with a wooden double door in a rural villa in Lombardy, Italy

A narrow room with a barrel-vaulted ceiling in pink and red tones carries a round, heavily faded ornamental panel above the back wall. Two empty arched niches flank a closed wooden double door with a semicircular glass fanlight above it, through which bright light enters. Plaster has flaked away from the walls in many places, revealing earlier layers of paint underneath. Fine sand and building debris cover the floor in front of the door.
