A wrought iron railing with scrollwork runs diagonally through the frame, while the surrounding walls flake away in broad, blistered layers. A window at the lower edge lets light fall onto another staircase. The surfaces look scarred and uneven, almost like weathered rock. The space is narrow and feels endlessly interlocked.
