He is a master of the „Lost Places“. The Krefeld photographer Sven Fennema travels through Europe in search of enchanted places, overgrown ruins, derelict industrial sites and abandoned villages.
For his new photo book he has photographed wonderfully melancholy cemeteries. From the pompous statues on Italian graves and mysterious tombs in Prague to romantic grounds in Stahnsdorf, Düsseldorf and Cologne – every place breathes the magic of transience and radiates an incomparable calm. „Memento“ is published by Frederking & Thaler.
