Former barracks complex with clock tower and rotunda in Wünsdorf, Germany
The extensive building complex is arranged symmetrically around a clock tower with a pointed roof, fronted by a round, partly glazed structure resting on concrete supports. Mansard roofs and turrets define the facades, and bare trees stand in rows across the forecourt. The sky is streaked with orange clouds, the low sun casting long light across the site. The order of the architecture contrasts with the visible emptiness of the place.
