An erosion cone in the Bardenas Reales badlands at dusk, Spain
A slender cone of pale, finely layered stone rises from furrowed ground, its outline traced by the warm, rose-tinted light of early dusk. Long, soft shadows fill the vertical grooves along its flanks. Rugged, erosion-carved terrain stretches around it toward low hills on the horizon. The sky shifts from blue to delicate apricot.
