Ivy carpet in a former hall of a sanatorium in Italy
A single armchair stands abandoned in a curved hall, its floor completely covered by a dense carpet of ivy. The wooden ceiling lining has come loose in several places and hangs down. A row of narrow, yellowed shutters lines the curved wall. Greenish light falls through gaps in the roof onto the scene.
