Collapsed interior of a derelict villa in Lombardy, Italy
Beams and boards lie crossed over a pile of rubble, out of which a young shoot is growing. Light falls through a broken balustrade in the background into the two-storey room, its walls plastered only in fragments. An old chest of drawers stands untouched at the edge of the chaos. The room feels frozen at the moment of collapse.
