Gothic pointed window in a ruined castle in Scotland
A pointed window with stone tracery opens in a thick rubble wall, its panes partly broken. Dense clusters of ferns cover the ground in front, and a slender trunk clings to the stonework. Moss and lichen spread across the grey stones down into every joint. The ruin lies quiet among the greenery, as if time had slowed here.
