The massive wooden hull lies askew on the pebble beach, its planks weathered grey and broken open in several places. Traces of red paint show at the bow, while the rusting superstructure amidships still shows windows and railings. Wooded hills rise in the background beneath a diffuse, cloud covered sky. The shallow water and pebble beach frame the wreck like a quiet marker on the shore.
