Chapel of an abandoned villa seen through a doorway in Italy

The view passes through an open door with a relief-decorated crest into a small chapel space, at the end of which stands an altar with a painted image of a saint. In the foreground stand a single wooden chair and patterned wall tiles on either side of the door, the floor covered with plaster fragments and dust. The walls of the anteroom are kept in warm orange and show clear signs of moisture damage. The narrow doorframe draws the eye directly toward the distant altar.
