Church of an abandoned monastery with an elaborate altarpiece in Italy
A richly decorated altarpiece with marble columns, figures, and carved putti stands centrally between two similarly designed side altars. Above hangs a reddish coffered ceiling, its wooden construction collapsed in one spot and exposing loose beams. A colored window at the upper left lets additional light fall onto the debris-covered floor. Despite the open ceiling, the dense decoration of the altars remains almost fully intact.
