Chapel with blue vaulted ceiling in an earthquake affected area in Italy
A narrow chapel with a deep blue groin vault decorated with golden stars and painted medallions leads toward a richly decorated altarpiece with columns and gilded details. Faded figures of saints appear on both side walls, with plain wooden benches standing before them on a tiled floor. Round windows on either side let in additional light. The vivid blue of the ceiling remains dominant despite cracks and flaking.
