A small, white plastered church with red-trimmed corners stands alone in wide, open terrain. Above the building rises a slender bell tower with a pointed, dark tent roof and a cross at its tip, while the roof of the side wings has already caved in. Dry, golden grass surrounds the building to the horizon, beneath a wide sky streaked with bands of cloud. The church reads as a last upright point in the landscape.
