Paint has flaked from the frame in patches, and the panes are cloudy, some of them cracked. Open moorland surrounds the box, tall grass reaching toward gentle hills under a sky washed in pink and violet. No path leads to it, and it stands in the open by itself, an object without any visible purpose left.
