Symmetrical corridor with caryatid figures in an old industrialist's villa in Germany
Two carved figures appear to support the cornice of a golden yellow corridor leading toward a central double door. Richly decorated ceiling moldings with leaf ornament frame the passage symmetrically. Light falls through the open door into the room beyond, while the corridor walls remain plain and unblemished yellow. Despite its abandonment, the corridor still appears largely intact.
