A young tree grows among machine foundations in a factory hall in Saronno, Italy
In a spacious hall with a geometrically gridded glass roof, a single young tree with large, heart-shaped leaves leans into the space. Around it, rectangular depressions mark the floor, former foundations of machines long since removed. Rows of columns structure the hall in both directions. Light falls evenly through the roof, leaving the hall feeling open and empty.
