Geometric concrete frames and young trees in an old paper mill in Italy

A sequence of square concrete frames structures the space at regular intervals, young trees and shrubs growing between them from the uneven floor. An outdoor staircase leads up to a higher level on the left, while a further, darker section of the building becomes visible in the background. Additional light falls through a roof opening at the centre of the frame. The clear geometric order of the frames stands against the irregular form of the vegetation.
