OUT OF THE BLUE

Ivy grows through a window in a blue-painted room of an abandoned textile factory in Italy

Deep blue paint peels away in irregular patches, revealing pale plaster underneath. Dense ivy grows through a barred window at the centre, spilling over the sill and into the room. Further greenery is visible outside, the light behind it soft and diffuse. The colour of the wall and the green of the plant form a clear contrast.
