Row of black turbines in an abandoned hydroelectric plant in Italy

In an elongated hall with an ornate roof truss, several large, black-lacquered turbines stand at even intervals. Tall round-arched windows on both long sides let in plenty of light, making the machines stand out dark against it. On the right wall hangs a tall measuring scale with numbered values. The floor shows remnants of a herringbone parquet beneath a thin layer of dust.
