Historic turbine with a maker's plate in an old pumping station in Italy

A massive, black-lacquered turbine bearing the manufacturer's name stands in the foreground of a hall with an almost festive stucco ceiling. Behind it, a long row of measuring instruments rises on a gallery-like platform, reached by staircases on both sides. Tall round-arched windows let plenty of light into the room. The tiled floor shows a chequerboard pattern in red and beige tones.
