Symmetrical steel stairways in an abandoned hydroelectric plant in Italy
Two mirror-image steel stairways lead from either side up to a raised walkway in front of a wall of glass-block windows. The walls above are patinated in warm green and brown tones, marked by cracks and stains. A crane hangs motionless from the ceiling above the scene. The clear symmetry of the architecture remains intact despite the decay.
