Concrete staircase with square newel posts in an abandoned castle in Germany
Massive, square concrete posts structure a staircase that continues in two directions. Above a glass roof in the background, leaves and branches are silhouetted, muted light entering from there. The surfaces are yellowed and covered in a fine pattern of cracks and dust. The clear, geometric form language dominates the image.
