Ruin of a red sandstone castle with round towers and a flock of birds overhead, Scotland

Two round corner towers crowned with battlements flank the red sandstone facade, its colour fading to grey in places. Rows of round arched windows run across two storeys, the roof long gone, only fragments of wall reaching into the overcast sky. Ivy and young trees grow from the upper openings while a flock of birds crosses over the ruin. Green pasture surrounds the stonework to the horizon.
