A gnarled, lichen covered tree trunk stands in the foreground beside a large moss covered boulder at the water's edge. Beyond it the still surface of the loch stretches toward the distant tower ruin, barely standing out between the wooded mountain slopes. Mist hangs low over the peaks, blurring the landscape's colours into one another. Small stones lie scattered in the shallow water near the shore.
