Castle ruin on a tidal island at low tide, Scotland
The ruin rises on a rocky hill that connects to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand and stone at low tide. Seaweed covers the exposed rocks in the foreground, while the water lies smooth and calm on either side. Hills in warm autumn tones frame the bay, the light appearing soft and muted. Only wall stumps remain of the former structure.
