SPLENDID

Ballroom with a gilded coffered ceiling and a draped white fabric in a grand hotel in Italy

A richly decorated coffered ceiling in cream and gold spans the hall, a large white fabric hanging heavily from its centre. Gilded columns and door frames structure the walls, the floor laid with a checkered carpet in blue and gold. The room lies completely empty and still, only the fabric disrupting the otherwise symmetrical view.
