Ivy covered archway of an abandoned villa in Italy
A round arched passage flanked by two curved turrets forms the entrance to an abandoned villa. Ivy climbs the plastered facade in dense bands, while ferns and shrubs crowd right up to the threshold. Inside the passage, a weathered stone figure is visible, with green trees opening up beyond it. The colours shift between the warm ochre of the wall and the deep green of the plants.
