A domed ceiling with blue coffers and a weathered rosette motif in a spa town in Romania
Eight blue-and-white striped coffers surround a round dome whose centre carries a weathered rosette motif of medallions and ornamental bands. A wide, gold-toned ring separates the two levels. Large parts of the painting have flaked away to reveal grey plaster, while fine details survive at the edges. The clear symmetry of the design remains legible despite the advanced decay.
