Ruin beside a waterfall in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, Germany

A narrow waterfall drops over moss covered rock into a small pool framed by dense foliage. Beside it stand the remains of a wall with three empty window openings and a brick arch, wrapped in ivy and fern. Moss reaches down the stones to the water, and light falls only in thin bands through the canopy. The scene feels quiet and damp, as though the forest had already reclaimed the ruin.
