HAVEN OF PEACE

Glazed loggia with a vaulted ceiling in a historic villa in Piedmont, Italy

A long, covered gallery with a yellow-tinted vaulted ceiling opens on the right through a row of large mullioned windows onto dense foliage outside. On the left, the wall carries a patterned paper with floral medallions and a wooden shutter. A single wicker chair stands in the middle of the room, and an open glass door at the end leads outside. Fine leaves and dust cover the pale stone floor.
