Round underground hall with red walls in an old bathhouse in Italy
A circular, vaulted hall underground is ringed by slender columns supporting a low dome. The walls show large remnants of red paint sitting in irregular patches on grey plaster. At the center of the back wall, a small doorway lit by artificial light leads into a passage beyond. Rubble and fragments cover the floor, and the light throughout stays muted and diffuse.
