MANRESA

Turquoise entrance room with a sky fresco and a view of a staircase in a palace in Spain

An oval sky fresco with clouds decorates the ceiling of a room in muted turquoise, framed by a gilded stucco band. Through a classical portal with columns, the view opens onto a wide staircase bathed in warm light in the adjoining room. The floor is laid in a zigzag pattern of red tiles, and floral borders with imitation marble are visible on the walls. The contrast between cool and warm tones clearly structures the space.
