Round columned hall with a chandelier and gallery in a sanatorium in Tskaltubo, Georgia
A round hall is carried by a ring of massive marble columns with Corinthian capitals, with a curved gallery bearing stucco reliefs running above. At the center, a wrought-iron chandelier without candles hangs from the ceiling, and in the background a staircase rises between the columns. The floor is laid in a herringbone pattern of wooden boards, and large water stains show on the walls. Despite the decay, the circular layout still conveys spaciousness and grandeur.
