Symmetrical hall with an Egyptian-style frieze in a forgotten villa in Veneto, Italy

A square hall in warm terracotta tones is framed by two sturdy columns supporting an entablature with an Egyptian-style lotus frieze. Reliefs with animal figures appear on the walls, and a bright door opens against the light on the back wall. Two worn, cream-colored armchairs face each other in the middle of the room. The symmetrical layout and muted light give the abandoned space an almost ceremonial calm.
