A shallow pool of water covers the floor of the ruin, mirroring the barrel vault above. Light falls through a narrow window onto weathered walls where large areas of plaster have come away. Arches and cornices in pale stone structure the space, while ferns and grasses grow from the cracks. The stillness of the water heightens the sense of a suspended moment.
