Moss-covered ruined staircase of an abandoned villa in Veneto, Italy
A wide staircase with a stone balustrade winds in two flights through the interior of a ruined villa, its steps almost entirely covered in moss. Beneath it, dark passages open onto further, collapsed rooms. A young tree grows up sideways among the debris, reaching into the upper storey. Shades of green dominate the entire scene.
