Two old cars inside a vaulted ruin in Emilia Romagna, Italy

In a tall, vaulted room with crumbling plaster, two old sedans stand close together, their bodywork barely visible beneath a thick layer of dust. Light falls through a narrow opening in the vault onto rubble, an old bathtub and a decaying cupboard at the edge of the room. Exposed brick shows through where the plaster has fallen away, tracing an irregular pattern on the walls. The stillness of the interior feels even more pronounced beneath the high ceiling.
