Wreck of an old houseboat with round windows, overgrown along a canal bank in Germany

The white hull lies quietly along the wooded bank of a narrow canal, its deck almost entirely overgrown with ivy and grasses. Portholes and weathered shutters show through the dense green, moss and algae have settled on the hull sides. Trees lean over the boat, letting only a little light fall on the calm water. The scene feels like a retreat that vegetation has long since taken over.
