Rusting steam locomotive in the dense forest of the Ardennes, Belgium

The locomotive's massive boiler is entirely covered in rust, green growth breaking through the riveted plating here and there. Wheels and piston rods stand still among tall ferns and young trees that have closed in around the machine. Further back, more wagons line up within the vegetation, barely visible between the branches. The muted light of the forest makes the heavy machine seem like a sleeping animal.
