Abandoned chapel with turquoise windows in Italy
A plain room with tall windows of turquoise glass, through which cool light falls onto the ochre-colored walls. Rows of simple wooden benches carved with cross motifs stand loosely scattered across the stained floor, a ladder leaning against one wall and a pale curtain hanging before one of the windows. A second, darker room opens in the background through a wide passage. Warm and cool light mix into a quiet, almost suspended mood.
