A vaulted passage fills almost entirely with thorny scrub growing waist-high, blocking the way to a rear archway. The plaster on the ceiling is heavily discolored and crossed by cracks, single branches climbing up the walls. Through the arch, a small altarpiece wrapped in ivy is visible in the background. The space reads like a path that nature now guards with thorns.
