Abandoned church of an old mountain village in Italy
A church nave with a deep blue groin vault, its surface covered in a star pattern and a central rosette. Side chapels with patterned tile arches open on both sides, and at the far end a greenish-blue altarpiece stands before a tall, bright window. The floor is covered by a thick layer of dark ash and soil, a narrow band of light falling diagonally across the room. The vivid colors of the vault contrast with the darkness of the floor.
