Cloister of an abbey with an old tree in Ireland
A square cloister courtyard whose stone arcades on every side are thickly covered in moss. At its center rises an old, spreading tree, its trunk filling the courtyard with shade and its crown reaching well above the wall tops. The surrounding rubble-stone abbey buildings show narrow pointed window openings and a single turret. The tree seems to be the true occupant of the quiet courtyard.
