Roofless church ruin with a tree in the central aisle in Italy
Two rows of cream-colored pilasters with capitals line a roofless central aisle, ending in the remains of a brick arch. Directly beneath it grows a small tree, its crown partly obscuring the view of the open sky. The ground is covered in low greenery, with scattered stones and plaster fragments among it. The former row of arches now reads as a frame for the tree that has grown up within it.
