Groin vaulted corridor with reddish columns in a monastery in Italy

A long corridor beneath groin vaults, carried by reddish marbled pilasters with pale, richly decorated capitals, small angel figures perched in the upper corners. At the far end, a round arch leads into a brighter room where an altarpiece is faintly visible. The plaster on ceiling and walls is heavily discolored and marked by traces of moisture. The clear sequence of arches still lends the decaying corridor a sense of solemnity.
