Abandoned synagogue with Star of David window in Romania
A two-story courtyard with Moorish-looking round arcades on both sides, ending in a window set with a yellow Star of David in stained glass. The facades are kept in faded white and turquoise, with plaster peeling in places to reveal the brickwork beneath. With the roof gone, dense trees and shrubs have taken over the courtyard. The space reads like a quiet cloister reclaimed by plants.
