BROKEN HOME II

Collapsed ceiling above a hall with a landscape medallion in Emilia-Romagna, Italy

An oval ceiling medallion with a painted landscape is surrounded by collapsed beams and bricks hanging loose above the room. Green-patterned wallpaper panels cover the walls, interrupted by a fireplace mantel with a painted image above. An open window on the right lets foliage reach in, while the floor is entirely covered with debris. Light falls into the ruined hall from several sides.
