Pink rococo hall with a stucco cartouche in an abandoned villa in Piedmont, Italy

A large stucco cartouche in pink and white covers the left wall, framed by curving volutes. The vaulted ceiling continues the pink in finer ornament, while a door on the right leads into another room. The plaster is visible in several layers, from beige to ochre, in places open down to the masonry. Despite the decay, the room appears ordered through its symmetry.
