Parlour with a painted vaulted ceiling in an abandoned villa in Italy
The alcove above the sofa is painted in yellow and blue, floral ornament tracing across the vaulted ceiling. Two arched windows open on either side, an empty frame hanging on the wall between them. Two amphorae stand on slender columns, while an upholstered sofa with a faded pattern sits beneath. The colors have muted, yet the painted symmetry remains clearly legible.
