Collapsed salon with a suite of sofas in an abandoned château in Belgium

Part of the richly ornamented stucco ceiling has collapsed, roof beams hanging loose above the room. Walls with floral wallpaper are charred and peeling across large areas, while a mound of rubble and plaster piles beneath the opening. A suite of upholstered sofas and armchairs still stands symmetrically at the center, as if a conversation were about to begin. Two tall mullioned windows let cool light into the ruined salon.
